Amanda became a household name when she played the part of Mel in three series of the hit comedy Kiss Me Kate (1998 – 2000). Amanda’s presenting credits include When Britain First Had Talent, Really Wild At Heart, Greasemania and the National Music Awards (ITV1). In 2010 she presented The Children’s Champions Awards for Sky One (alongside Chris Evans).
In television, Amanda completed the fourth, fifth and sixth series of ITV1’s smash hit show Britain’s Got Talent having sat alongside judges including Simon Cowell, Michael McIntyre and Piers Morgan. The show has pulled in audiences in excess of 20 million viewers and series four resulted in the finding of the worldwide phenomenon Susan Boyle.
Amanda’s first autobiography No Holding Back became a Sunday Times Bestseller, and was one of the biggest selling autobiographies of 2013.
2016 was a huge year with Amanda returning once again to the Britain’s Got Talent judging seat, fronting the moving and beautiful series I’ve Got Something to Tell You and embarking on the national tour of Richard Harris’s award-winning comedy play Stepping Out, which will be making it’s West End debut at the Vaudeville theatre on 1st March 2017.
